Technology and Construction Challenges: GAPTEK will attend EXCO’24
The Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Edificación (ETSIE) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in parallel to the Cevisama Fair (organizes the EXCO congress, for its 38th edition. It is a Construction Technology Exhibition in which all ETSIE teaching is transferred to the Fair for a week.
EXCO’24 will consist of a 3-day cycle of conferences and round tables, as well as a building research exhibition in which there will be more than 120 posters with contributions from more than 300 participants from 57 different institutions and more than 20 countries.
Thursday 29th will be dedicated to Industrialization.
Gaptek has been invited, along with a series of engineering and architecture firms with an international profile, to reflect on the topic of “why industrialized construction seems like the ideal solution but does not take off as the default solution.”
On the one hand, it seeks to understand the drivers that have led to the disappearance of different industrialists in the international arena, as well as to understand the challenges that each agent in the sector has for industrialization to take off.
Finally, this is done within an academic environment, to promote the interest and training of future construction professionals, as well as causing the university to also be a dynamic agent connected to the business environment so that industrialization is the new normal in the sector.
