GAPTEK attends the 3rd week of SERA35 in Sweden: Key Highlights
The annual SERA35 course in Sweden gathered key defense and industry stakeholders for a five-day program. Our Defense Sales Director, Mr. Enrique Graullera, joined this course on critical defense and security topics.
Day 1: Strategic Insights
High-level presentations by the State Secretary of Defense, Mr. Peter Sandwall, Dr. Robert Egnell, Vice-Chancellor of SEDU, DG MSB, and Head of Export at FMV, and others covering the Swedish defense budget, industry, agencies, Ukraine’s NATO integration, R&D, and defense education.
Day 2: SAAB and Academia
Participants toured SAAB’s Gripen Jet fighter assembly line and attended presentations on the Triple Helix collaboration model at Linköping University. The day ended with a visit to the Air Force Museum.
Day 3: Land Warfare Center
At the Land Warfare Center in KVARN, attendees explored a fair showcasing products from companies like SAAB and BAE, and experienced hands-on with CV90 combat vehicles, multispectral networks, and more.
Day 4: Panels and Perspectives
Discussions on Swedish aid to Ukraine and national perspectives from the Netherlands, Norway, and Poland were highlights. Additionally, insights on the economy and innovation were shared.
Day 5: Closing Perspectives
The course concluded with national perspectives from Romania and Slovakia, along with insights from the European Defence Agency. Director-General of FOI, Jens Mattsson provided a compelling closing presentation.
The SERA35 Defense course was an invaluable platform for learning and collaboration on defense strategies and international cooperation.
