Once all the parameters have been analyzed, the study concludes that the aluminum hangar has a lower environmental impact (77.31 kg of less eCO2 per m2) than the steel hangar. This result indicates that the aluminum hangar generates 21.20% less CO2 emissions than the steel hangar.

If we analyze each stage, both structures present a similar environmental impact in the extraction of the product and its manufacture, with aluminum being the material with the lowest CO2 emissions. This is due to the good performance of low carbon emissions in its manufacturing chain. The explanation for these low carbon emissions is the source of energy used for its manufacture.

Regarding the recycling process, aluminum has a better response than steel. The energy required to process secondary aluminum is 95% less than the production of primary aluminum, while the energy required to process secondary steel is 56%.

Hospital sources indicate that this capacity boost of the service will improve the medical care for patients in moderate or mild severe condition and will also allow to have more spaces in the Emergency area for patients with Covid and the ones waiting for the results which during their medical evaluation, they must remain isolated. The intention is that each patient can be isolated while avoiding the presence of infected patients who should not be in the corridors as it increases the risk of contagion.

The two modules will remain operational indefinitely until the expansion of the hospital is completed with a new multipurpose building financed by the Health Department and which, according to forecasts, should be completed by November this year. In fact, during the first quarter of this year, the Health Department’s commitment is to finalize the tender and awarding process for the construction works.

The building, which will occupy part of the currently free parking lot at the Hospital, will have an area of ​​9,000 square meters, of which 4,000 will be used for the emergency care. It is also expected the supply of 40 new beds, of which 8 would be for critical care. The budget is 25 million, of which will be necessary to add 5 to 7 million for the supply of the equipment.

The infrastructures of Gaptek, a Spanish modular architecture company, well known not only by NSPA but also by OCCAR, Spanish MOD and US MoD among others, comply with the International Building Codes (IBC), as any permanent building.

The main features of the Gaptek system are that its buildings, although permanent, are implanted in one third of the time used by permanent constructions and also can be easily and quickly dismantled or reconfigured.

In addition, the Gaptek system emits 21% less CO2 than traditional steel and concrete constructions.

The buildings ordered by the SAF from NSPA are a deployable hangar that will house a C-295 and a corporate building for detachment personnel.

The hangar planned by Gaptek has interior dimensions of 1.200 m2 with a sliding motorized door. It is a fast-deployment permanent hangar that can be easily dismantled.

The building is planned on two floors with dimensions of 240m2 each floor. The main features of this building are its easy and fast assembly, great insulation and fast conversion if necessary, for other functionalities.

The contract was signed on 22 July 2020 and Gaptek is expected to start installing the buildings next September and deliver the infrastructure by the end of the year.

Gaptek will also give a training course on its construction system to SAF specialists that will equip the military with the capacity to dismantle or reconfigure buildings if necessary.

Following the Gaptek philosophy, the structure is designed according to the modularity of a base grid of 2.40×2.40m that allows to offer 10 different spaces. This include a reception, a metal detector arc, a police identification room, personal interview rooms, and multipurpose rooms to perform group dynamics.

In addition, the building has rest rooms, a kitchen-office, a warehouse, an area for educators and personal objects and services equipped with showers and changing rooms

The Performance Module complies with the European Building Technical Code, installed with the equipment of a traditional building such as electrical installation, air conditioning, ventilation, sanitation, floor lighting, fire protection and emergency exits.

In this way, the Immediate Care Center (CAI) provided by Gaptek will facilitate the work of the DAIA by meeting all the requirements and needs for the development of its social work.

Building the coal storage terminal will be the first experience of this type in the far east of Russia. It will allow the implementation of innovative technologies for the handling and storage of coal.

The buildings of the coal storage terminal are environmentally safe and of  high-tech which is due to their extensive requirements for this two. The dimensions are the following: 50m long x 50m wide without any intermediate support and 35m high.

In addition to the specific geometry of the coal storage buildings, these are adapted to the demands of wind and snow loads. These requirements are according to the Siberian climate: 0.6 kPa of wind and 1.0 kPa of snow.

The structure of the coal storage buildings will be composed of aluminum pillars and beams and the envelope made of corrugated metal sheet panels.

All the material will be sent from Spain, complying with the European standards and qualities, and the project will adapt to all Russian regulations required.
